Holland
Point Lodge was designed as a retreat from the hustle and bustle
of everyday life in a remote location abounding with wildlife. The
Lodge was built in 1990 on the site of the original farm house which
dates back to 1680.
Overlooking one and one-half miles of beautiful shoreline, guests
can sit in the rocking chairs on the porch, or watch the sunset
from
the
tower
room while enjoying a cocktail. In cooler weather, the oversized
fireplace in the great room is a magnet for telling tall tales
(especially
regarding the day’s activities), listening to music, enjoying
an aperitif before dinner, or a brandy before bedtime. Five bedrooms,
each with private bath provide total comfort for guests to rest
and be refreshed for the next day’s activities.
Meals are a very important part of your stay at the lodge. Local
game prepared in the Eastern shore tradition may be served, or Continental
and American regional favorites may also be on the menu for the
day. Prize-winning Maryland and Virginia wines are also often served.
Guests feel like welcomed friends, surrounded by the warmth of gracious
hospitality in a beautifully furnished and comfortable home. For
